Me voy! / I'm off...

I'm off. I'll be at my home in Oviedo and I won't be online any more! Well, at least in the next three weeks. I'll be busy eating, sleeping siesta and taking walks with the baby and all that stuff you do when you visit your parents. So with that level of stress I won't have the time for blog or anything of that kind. To all of you that are there: I'll see you soon! To all of them that are here: I'll see you soon! Because days really fly...

Mrs. Muscle / Doña Músculos

I just noticed something that I can do since I had a baby: I can do almost everything with only one hand. I can make the laundry, fold the clothes, put my shoes on, prepare and have some meals… I use the sling very often, it’s one of the best things that I bought, but very often you take the baby when they start to be fussy and then you keep on doing what you were doing. I was thinking how strong actually all moms are, and right now I only mean physically. Félix is already heavier than 7kg and to go around with him in one arm and do as much as you can with the other one takes a lot of strength. And it’s been done in the right way: you start when they are new born and are very light and week by week you keep adding weight. How much will I be able to carry?

Do you want to see a movie? / Te apetece ver una peli?

We tried a new mom-baby activity: the movie theater. At 10:00am you can take your babies to some of the movie theaters in Copenhagen. The movie is not played too loud and they keep some lights on. You are also allowed to come in and out whenever you need to. You leave the stroller in the hall and you put the sticker on it with your seat number. You can put your baby to sleep there if you wish. If he/she cries a very kind “baby guard” will come to your seat and let you know before they get a headache! He he! I didn’t know about that one! I thought it was so cool! We went to see Indiana Jones; it was the best choice as we decided that it should be a movie easy to follow. And that was a very wise advice. You have to entertain the baby once in a while, then you have to solve the nappy situation, then they have to have their naps, then you have to pop out the boob for their lunch… And that between dozens of other fussy babies… But it was actually fun and we enjoyed it!

Good job Nuria! / Muy bien Nuria!

Our friend Nuria ran the Copenhagen Marathon this morning and she did it in an excellent time (around 4h) She was not training as much as she should have so imagine when she starts to train seriously! Wow! We went there to cheer her up and I must confess I admire the strength of those runners!

Good job Nuria!!!!
