What does a baby need?!/Qué necesita un bebé?!

I’m 26 weeks pregnant now as some of you already know and I’m starting to think what I actually should buy for the baby.

It’s funny; I’ve been asking this question to some moms: ok, what do you think I should buy in Bangalore for the baby? I mean, if there is something you know that it’s cheaper here and I’ll need it I could buy it before I leave. Actually, what do I need?

Well, answers: eeehhhh, hmmmmm, let me thiiiiiink

Nothing, well of course besides the crib and the stroller, nobody really could answer me. Well and clothes, too. And I say, hey! But you have so much stuff! And they say: well, those were gifts or too cute I couldn’t resist buying. Ok. So people having nurseries bigger than our apartment, filled with stuff, now I know that actually they don’t need it!? Or they do need it and they don’t want to scare me? Why do you think that suddenly people had no idea about what babies need? Ok I guess we’ll have to play by ear!


Ya tengo 26 semanas de embarazo como algunos de vosotros sabeis y estoy empezando a pensar en lo que necesitaré para cuando el bebé venga.

Y es gracioso, he estado preguntando esto a algunas mamas: entonces que crees que debería comprar en Bangalore para el bebé? Me refiero, a de las cosas que necesita un bebé pues qué es más barato aqui? En realidad qué necesito para el bebé?

Nada, bueno aparte del carrito y la cuna no me supieron contester. Ah claro y ropita. Y les digo pero con todo lo que teneis! Y me dicen: bueno, la mayoria de las cosas son regalos y otras eran tan monas que no me resistí a comprarlas. Vale, asi que gente con habitaciones de bebé más grande que nuestro piso y todo lleno de cosas me dicen que no saben exactamente lo que en realidad necesita un bebé? Es que todas esas cosas en realidad no se usan? O se usan y no me lo quieren decir para no asustarme? Madre mía, bueno, me imagino que tendremos que improvisar!
